Several years ago, I worked full-time on church staff. During that time, I had the privilege of assisting individuals and families in the middle of various hardships. As much as I loved my job, and journeying alongside members of our church family, it didn’t take me long to discover that some things were outside of my “wheelhouse”, so to speak. Although my heart desired to see healing in the lives of those I worked with, there were times when I felt as if my skill set was coming up short. This is why I went back to school to get my Master’s Degree and become a Counselor. I longed to create a judgment-free space where people could come and seek assistance from a trained professional. Today, I believe I have created that atmosphere in the form of my private practice.
I began my counseling career in 2013 where I counseled individuals and families in a community mental health agency in Kentucky. Since then I have ventured into Private Practice. My experience consists of working with individuals with anxiety symptoms, a history or trauma, and relationship issues. I have a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and specialize in helping couples and parents navigate their relationships with health and confidence. Relationships are one of our greatest resources, and a strong relationship certainly doesn’t happen by accident.
